First patients randomized in CIC study
Albireo today announced that the first patients have been randomized in a US Phase2b study with A3309 in chronic idiopathic constipation. In total, 180 patients will be recruited and results are expected late in 2010.
A3309 is a first in class compound developed for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and constipation-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-C).
